Are there physical differences between Japanese and other koi? And how can I get information about is easily.

Dear John,

Thank you for your question.
Your first question is easy as the normal physical features of koi are the same.
However some countries or breeders do attend to not select koi to quality and therefore some koi are not exactly perfect.
As you may know Japanese breeders are known to provide the best selected koi.
However other countries are also gaining to come close to the same quality.

your other question is more difficult ad there are lot's of places for information.
Maybe it's a good advice to join a local koi club.
Worldwide there are many clubs and as from Japan you have the ZNA.
Also you can google to INPC, the International Nishikigoi Promotion Centre.
