one of my kio fish looks ill, the fish is all ways at the same place in my pound it always stays on the service & dose not move far all the rest of the fish looks ok

Dear Philip,

A fish separating is correctly sometimes A fish in bad shape and health.
However as you do not tell me visual signs I would suggest following.

If only one fish is sick:
Check waterquality.
Check visually if there is indeed only one fish in trouble.
If so seperate the fish in quarantine if possible.
check closely and try to make scrapes for the microscope.
If A microscope is not available and you find wounds created by ex. A cat or so you can buy A cleaningkit to clean the wound and seal it.
If you see no wounds by other annimals or so, you need to get A professional involved to take the mucus scrapes and he can determin if it is bacterial, parasite, fungus etc.
