Horse breeding

Question
Would you breed a heavy mare with a 17hh stallion or a 16.1hh stallion to produce a 3 day eventer?

hey tanx for the question!  I wouldn't base my decision on height alone.  But, instead base it on the qualities in the stallion that i would want in a foal...Eventng horses aren't all usually very big either...rather you would want a horse that was agile and athletic, with good conformation that could withstand the rigors of the event.  Hope this helps!
