Hi Lyn-I was just replying back to let you know that the method worked in only about 10 minutes. I started Flit in the round pen and when I took her to the big field she stood right beside me with no halter on. Thank you so much and I will keep you updated on how things start to go.

Glad to hear that you have Flit straightened out.  Mares are usually willing to work with you once they realize that you run the show and will insist on appropriate behavior.  This goes for anything you find undesireable.  She's apparently easy to get along with since she came around so quickly so you shouldn't have any further problems.
