Baby Mice Missing Legs

Hi my to females just had a litter each and all of the baby's legs and tails just started to turn black and fall off I have never seen this before can you tell me what has happened?

Oh my! I have never heard of this before. Is there a possibility that the mother could have injured the babies? It sounds as if their blood ciculation was cut off, or something tramatic happened to them. Have any survived? I have never heard of this before. However, mice can cannabalize their young, and sometimes inexperienced mothers can "over clean" their babies and in the process bite off limbs and tails.
