Hedgehog losing quills

Hi, my hedgehog is 6 years old who lives in Hong Kong. Over the last twelve months, she has been losing quite a bit of quills. I wonder whether she has skin problem or is getting old and therefore started losing quills. Could you assist?

The age of 6 is quite old for a hedgehog, and she could be losing quills as an effect of age.  But I would suggest you get her checked by a vet, because the most common cause of quill loss in an adult hedgehog is probably mites.  Get some Revolution medication.
