R these good pets? can u handle them with ur hands?

Answer
They can be good pets, and with time you can handle them with your hands. Each hedgehog has their own personality and they adapt at different rate. Hedgehogs are not hamsters, and require a bit more care and cost. Besides the cost of the hedgehog ($80-$200) you will need a very large cage, wheel, food dish, water bottle, food, and time. Hedgehogs also require a bit more vet care at a higher costs since you will need someone who specializes in hedgehogs/exotics. I suggest a minimum a yearly visit just to check things out,  and you may want to go more often for nail trimmings if you are unble to do it yourself. Recently after a dental xray, it was apparent that one of my hedgehogs had ground all his teeth down on a water bottle he liked to battle at night when he was in between wheels (kept breaking them, he is rather large).
