dominering cocker

hi, we have a lovely 4 month old cocker, he is great with the kids and with my husband but is very dominering with me. he jumps on the furniture, when i get him off he just jumps back on again! he doesn't let me stroke him and continually nips me. I am at my wits end about what to do! i have made sure that i feed him last, get in his bed and always walk in and out the door first, this does not seem to work. He is a very conferdent cocky dog! please help!

When you command him to get off and he gets right back on the furniture, what do you do?
What do you do when he nips?
Is he totally housebroken?
What commands does he know?

My guess is he knows there are no consequences so doesn't obey :)  And yes, I can teach you how to calmly correct him in a way he'll understand.
