aussie ears

Question
I have a 14 week old aussie and she now holds one ear normal and the other one straight up.  Should I be worried about this or is it just a phase she is going through.  If I need to be worried what can I do to correct it and when should I be worried about it.

Please give me any advice that you have.

Thanks,
Theresa

Answer
Aussies do in fact go through funky ear stages, usually around teething.  Usually, you will see a dog who eventually turns out with forward ears that will have semi-prick or rose ears during teething.  However if your puppy has a full prick ear, it will probably stay like that, or maybe turn to be semi prick.  To fix this, the most popular thing to do it glue the ears to fix the earset, which can be done easily and doesn't hurt the dog.  If you'd like to know more, feel free to ask more questions!
