Weenie dog and a bunny

I am in the FFA program. I have a Dachshund thatis a year old and I recently got a small rabbit for showing in teh fair. The rabbit is desensitized to rabbits so it will not react when the dog gets upset but my dog just goes bezurk at just seeing the bunny. what do I do?

You have a dog BRED to GO TO GROUND after rabbits, badgers, etc.  There is nothing you can do to short circuit this dog's hard-wired, genetic response to the rabbit.  You can attempt to desensitize the prey drive, but it doesn't look good!  keep the rabbit and the dog AWAY from one another.
