Question
We have a six month old, Cocker Spaniel Lapso Apso mix puppy. It took about three weeks after we got him to train him to go
outside to void, and we got him at five months old. He had cherry eye, of which we had fixed, and he has also been neutered with all his shots. For now we keep him in a kennel when we can not watch him, for instance when we are sleeping or when my wife is working and she works at home in the office. While she is working the kennel is in the office. His name is Casey, and he does not void in his kennel. The problem arises when we leave he exibits extreme anxiety and voids (feces) in his kennel even if he has been taken out before we leave. We need help what do we do?

Answer
   Hi Bruce,
Try taking him to Petsmart for some puppy training classes. They work great, and not only do they teach him basic obedience, but give him socialization skills as well (with both other dogs, animals, and other people including children), which are ideal for a dog of this age. While you're there for your first visit, buy him some toys such as Kongs, Jolly Balls, ect. Spend more time with him and take him on daily walks, at least twice a day.
