dog chases shadows

Question
My friends 7 yr. old dog from a breeder is constantly looking down and
chasing shadows, even in the evening.During the day , much of her time
is spent focusing on a sun shadow. She also licks the clean wooden
floor from wall to wall. This dog is only paper trained. Help.I feel sorry
for this dog.

Thanks for the question. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's dog.

However, since she's your friend's dog, anything I tell you won't be of much use. Your friend has to contact me, or talk to her vet or the breeder. I CAN tell you this: it sounds like the dog needs (among other things) a lot more hard vigorous playful exercise where she gets to chase something and bite it (fetch & tug). She should also be kept in a crate when she's not playing. It will help her relax more.
