QuestionI have a great lhasa and a friend wants to breed her dog with mine. I am afraid he will act different, marking his spot in the house, being aggressive ect... I only plan on doing this one time. Can you give me any insight on what might happen?
AnswerI don't encourage this at all and I strongly suggest you have your dog neutered. Once a dog breeds, he will not forget the experience and it will heighten any testosterone related behaviors (including marking your home). Allowing a male to remain intact is not only subjecting him to exquisite torture (as dogs can smell a bitch in heat for miles) but also exposing him to prostate cancer and other issues.
