The humping Dragon

Question
Hello;

I have a 1 year old english bulldog.  He is not fixed yet.  He is very obedient and listens to everything i say.  Except one thing.  He is fixated on humping every living organism.  When i take him to the dog park, he tries to hump big dogs, little dogs, males, females.  That is a bit embarrasing and inapropiate but I'll let it pass.  The problem is humping the people.  Not really outdoors but in the house.  He especially targets young children.  My niece is barely 3 feet tall and he knocks her down and goes to town.  Anytime anyone in the family bends over to pick up a pen or anything, he immediately jumps to hump.  He will do it to everyone except me, im the owner.  When he goes outside to play with the kids, he humps as many as he can.  The local kids call him the Humping Dragon.  A game has been created from my dog.  All the kids line up and then they let my dog loose and the kids run as fast as they can in order to avoid the wrath of the humping dragon.  I guess you get my point.  It is a really bad situation, with the kids and adult guests that come by.  Everyone suffers, except me, i dont know why he never tries it on me.  But ive told him several times and ive tried different methods.  Nothing works.  Can you please help

Answer
You said it yourself - he is not fixed yet.  Why are you waiting?  That's probably the only thing that will help now that he is so fixated.  You really should not be letting him have contact with kids or others who do not wish to have this behavior perpetrated on them.  That just lets him "practice" and we all know that practice makes perfect LOL.
You can attempt to teach him a "leave it" command, and to "come" on command, but that takes time.  There are free lessons at www.clickerlessons.com.  The first one you want to solidify is "Attention", then "Come".
