german shepherd

Our german shepherd rubs her body and rolls her body on the ground where another animal has died. She gets really upset about it. Do u know why?

Some people believe that dogs do this to cover their own scent, and that it's part of the way they would have disguised themselves during hunting, so as not to scare away prey.  If it makes you feel any better, I have a Yorkie that does the same thing - loves to roll in mouse guts - eeeewwww.
