Dear Tabbi,

i have a 2 years female spayed cat, she is a feral and likes to play too much.
but she doesn't like to meet any other cats, i tried to introduce her to other cats,in the last 2 years.
i tried all kinds of cats at her age, kittens , female mail.
but each time she got very aggressive and scary, and she keep couple of days very sad aggressive, get tired , stop playing and doesn't eat as usual.
she doesn't also like to go outdoor, she starting meowing and try to get to home.
i feel like i need to introduce her to new cat so she can find a friend who can play with all time.
i dnt know how to deal with this, do i force her to meet new cat, or i should leave her alone.
please need your advice

Answer
Rawd,

You can't put a new cat together with a resident cat and expect them to instantly get along. It rarely happens that way. You need to go through an introduction process correctly and it may take 2 weeks or 2 months.

I am attaching a couple of links on how to go about the introduction process: (copy and paste, or type the whole links into your address bar)

There are some cats who are happier not having another cat around. The only thing you can do is try. If your cat still is behaving the same way around a new cat after you do the introduction process then I wouldn't force her.

Get more toys for her to play with like a pet laser light, stuffed toy mice, pull a shoestring around for her to chase, etc.

If she is not spayed then I would get her done. Fixing a cat cures a lot of behavior problems.
