cat in heat?

I think my 3 year old cat is in heat.  She is meowing more often and is either urinating or spraying around the house. The shelter told me that she was spayed when we go her almost 2 years ago.  Is this possible and what can I do to stop this behavior? Thank you.

If she hasn't exhibited this behavior before, and you were told that she was spayed, then I would say she's not in heat. This sounds more like she has a urinary tract infection. Get her to a vet and have her checked out. I think you will find that this is the more likely reason she is doing that type of behavior. Good luck and let me know what happens.
