set up for a patio fountain

Question
I'm considering a concrete paver patio with water jets up between some of the middle pavers, water gently shooting up 1-2 feet (basically a ground level fountain) and running back down between the pavers to a below ground collection tank and submersed pump.  The idea is to have a fountain that the kids can run through on hot days... Is this reasonable?  Thoughts on appropriate pumps and tank, jets, etc.?

Thanks so much for your kind service.

Answer
Hi Ethan
If you are thinking of letting the kids play in this type of installation then i would not advise this. Using a tank to hold water has health implications if the water (especially spray or mist) can come into contact with humans as there are a number of vater bourne microrganisms that can be spread i.e. Lysteria, cryptosporidium and others.
If you go round the garden centres and look at there water displays you will probally find that the water is treated for this very reason as kids especially are always putting their hands in the water.
You could treat the water but this is not only time cxonsuming but can get expensive.

The company i work for (hozelock) sell a product that will give you what you want without having to install all the pumps etc. (By the way im not a salesman but work in quality). Its called a Garden Shower and runs of the mains supply. There are 2 types. One is a standard which has a spike that you can stick in the lawn and the garden shower delux which also has a tripod that you can stand on a patio.
You can order one over the phone by ringing Cust Services on
