excess bubbles in pond

Question
I have read a few of the posts and responses about bubbles on the surface of a pond.  This is my situation.  We just moved into this house and there is a small pond with a waterfall in the back yard.  I dont even know how many gallons the pond is.  I am guessing about 300-400 gallons.  There are no fish or animals in the pond.  I have been trying to clean out the pond before the summer so I can put some fish in it.  I cleaned all the leaves and then shocked the pond because there was excessive algae all over the pond.  However, now the bond has bubbles all over the surface.  I read a little about the DOCs, but was wondering how to clean up my pond and get the bubbles out?

Answer
Hey Tim I have never heard of bubbles in the pond like that. The only thing I can think of is that you shock the pond. If you are going to have fish and plants in the pond you can't shock it like a swimming pool.It will kill the fish. They like the algae. My ponds look like real ponds. I let nature take is course like in a real pond. My goal is to not have to do a lot to it after I clean it out for the summer.Swimming pool are to much work. Thanks Eric
