Moustache Parakeet

I have just abtained a new bird from a friend. She says he eats only people food. What types of people food can he have and what should I not give him?  have had a lot of birds but have always given them bird food from pet store with some people treats.

well birds shouldn't eat people food as there normal diet. You should try your best to get him to eat bird food. Here are a few people food thing you can give him veggies, fruits, crackers (no salt), popcorn (no butter/no salt). also try asking the person that gave you the bird what she gave him. PS. remember try to switch him to bird food.
