Question
i wrote a few weeks ago and was very pleased, thank-you,
however my budgie took a fall and now can't stand on her foot properly, i took her to the vet and she said no climbing and just rest, i was wondering if there was anything else i could do

Answer
Good job in seeing the vet over this, it means you really care! Following the vet's advice is suggested of course, and you can try lower the perches in the cage to add to the bird's comfort and prevent further injury if they take another tumble.
Recently we cared for a one winged lovebird who, while recovering, lived completely at the bottom of her cage with a little "hidey" hut to retreat to.  While I don't believe, from what you've described, that this injury is that serious or permanent, it's an option.

Birds are remarkably good at healing and recovery.  Perhaps adding a soft, rope perch will also help - just make sure to keep any wayward strands of rope clipped close so toes don't get entangled.
It sounds like you're doing a very good job - keep it up!
