Question
would you recommend to breed with a sire who has HD-A with NB 29 and a dam also HD-A with NB 17.

Can you recommend afew good breeders in Holland

Answer
Thank you for clarifying that information. I am familiar with the Norberg Angle evaluative technique and the reference to this method is shortened to NA standing for Norberg Angle, not NB, thus the confusion.

In considering hips, I would recommend looking at the NA index before the subjective International HD rating system.

While not perfect, it's reliability in predicting hip dysplasia is better than the use of the FCI scoring system.

Ideally, I feel that using compressed distraction method (PennHip DI)is proving to be the most reliable predictor of Degenerative Joint Disease and Canine Hip Dysplasia. This method is not yet being utilized in FCI member countries, however.

You should also be considering the incident of Elbow Dysplasia in the pedigree as well. This is a growing problem in the breed, especially in Europe due to the smaller population base.
