Question
My frined is a single femmale with house and fenced yard. She lost her Golden last year and would like a new dog. She heard about this family with two dogs and went to see the one they have to give away. She is a 2 yr Chocolate Lab. She has no health issues and has been spayed. She does however run at cars when on a walk. She also is aggressive toward other animals, other than the black male lab in her house. She is wonderful with the children in the house and does listen to commands such as come, sit, no. Do you think the undesirable behavior can be corrected? Should my friend stay away from this dog?

Answer
Hello and thanks for your question. Did you knwo that when i went to go see the dog that was for sale she was aggresive to other animals except the dog it was already with. and did chase cars when she saw them. loves kids and listens to other commands. When i first read your question, I almost thought it was from my friend who was describing my own dog. We already had A LOT  of animals and after a while and training she has no problem with the other animals at all. We got a choke chain for the walking problem and when ever she lunged to run after a car or whatever she was after, she was choked (not enough to harm her) and she would stop. We put the chain on her still and she walks like the lady she is and won't run after anything any more. I say your friend should get the dog and work with her until the problems are solved. If you or your friend have any more questions let me know!
