My 3 yr. old Female Boxer

My dog started throwing up a little yesterday, and her stools were loose, this morning her crate was full of throw up and diarrhea. We have just changed her food, 2 days ago. her nose is cold, shes still very alert, and is drinking, is this serious, or can dogs get stomache bugs like we do??/

Sorry to hear that your doggie isn't feeling well.
Any time you change a dog's diet you have to do it slowly so as to not upset the dog's digestive system. That MIGHT be the cause of the vomiting and diarrhea, but I'm not a vet so I can't really say for sure.
If she were my dog I'd stop feeding her for 24 hours, then slowly introduce the new food in with the old, and with perhaps a little boiled chicken and white rice. It should take about 2-3 weeks to wean a dog off her old food.
For future reference though, there are three clear signs that a dog is sick:
1) diarrhea
2) vomiting
3) lethargy
Your dog is exhibiting two of the symptoms, so it might be wise to at least talk to the vet about it.
