Question
WE GOT A COLLIE ABOUT 5 1/2 MONTHS OLD, HAD HER 1 1/2 MONTHS.  EVERY SINCE WE GOT HER SHE ACTS SCARED OF YOU ADULT AND KIDS, SHE RUNS BACK IN HER BOX WHEN SHE SEE YOU.WILL COME OUT WHEN FEEDING HER THEN RUNS BACK IN AFTER SEEING WHAT YOU GOT.SHE COMES BACK OUT TO EAT WHEN YOU GO IN THE HOUSE. WHY IS SHE ACTING THIS WAY?

Answer
Your dog appears not to have been properly socialized to humans and is suffering from an inability to properly make sense of what is occurring in your home.  Your home may be too busy/noisy for her (something I can't determine online).  However, this dog needs a great deal of TLC and must be slowly acclimated to you and your family with patience and love.  The Collie is an "obedience" natural.  Your dog should easily respond to food reward in training.  Also, it appears that you have her OUTSIDE.  One wonders why you are isolating her in this manner.  Dogs require social interaction with their humans and should never be isolated.  If you are unable or unwilling to do the work involved in turning this dog around, I suggest you contact Collie Rescue in your area (found easily on the Internet) or the SPCA in your area (NOT the municipal dog pound) to place this dog in a more appropriate home.
