Question
hello

My dog is now 9 years old and suffers from arthritis for the last month he has been looking for bark in the stream and eating it loads of it why would he do this? he seems a little under the weather some times

Answer
I'd like you to resend this question to Shelley Davis who is very knowledgeable in terms of holistic health care and is on this site.  I would also like you to make an appointment with your veterinarian so that your dog can have a full blood chemistry.  I would not allow him to eat tree bark.  If he has nutritional needs or his homeostasis is directing him in order to address some physiological issue, he requires nutritional supplementation.  There are nutritional supplements available to assist arthritis and you also need to rule out the development of any other disease process.
