Dog agression

I have 2 young dogs, a 9 month old 3/4 shepard 1/4 wolf mix, and a 3 month old wolf/chow mix. Both are female. Our 9 month old went into heat about 3 weeks ago and about a week after that she started being agressive towards other dogs that she has played with since she was little! She has never shown any agressive behavior before and doesn't attack out 3 month old dog, but we watch two other dogs on a regular basis and up until two weeks ago our 9 moth old has always played with them so nice! Also there is a young boy that used to come over and play with her EVERY DAY and she started growling at him as well! This worries me so much cause I can't have a dog that is agressive to kids. She is to big to risk her biting anyone and the two dogs she has attacked were both a lot smaller then her and its a wonder she didn't relaay hurt them! Is this because she is in heat? How can I correct this behavior? Please help! I don't want to have to put my girl to sleep!

You have absolutely no business owning a wolf hybrid.  These animals are not dogs and they are not wolves; their behavior is unpredictable and they are patently dangerous. These animals require expert management and containment by professionals licensed to do so. They are not pets and they are not companion animals.  Both these dogs are dangerous; the Chow hybrid is especially so, as the Chow Chow is a highly dominant and unpredictable breed.  Here are statistics from a study done between 1982 and 2007 regarding dog attack deaths and maimings in the US and Canada:

The combination of pit bulls, rottweilers and wolf hybrids:

   * 77% of attacks that induce bodily harm
   * 73% of attacks to children
   * 83% of attack to adults
   * 70% of attacks that result in fatalities
   * 77% that result in maiming

Whatever state you are in, contact local authorities and ask for referral to wolf dog sanctuaries, even if this means you have to drive considerable distance.
