chewing

Hi i am doing this for a friend, her cat Teeky is chewing doors, plaster, leather,skirting boards, basically anything available............ please help.

Hi, Please could you get me some more information from your friend so that i can answer this question properly. How old is the cat? Is it male/female? Sterilised (spayed or neutered) or not? What breed of cat? How long has the cat been doing this? How often does the cat do this? What has your friend tried so far? What is the cat being fed? How many meals per day? Is it an indoor cat or an outdoor cat? Where did your friend get the cat from (breeder, welfare, pet store...)? Until i get this information, i cannot really provide specific assistance. In the meantime, I suggest your friend provides her cat with safe toys that s/he is allowed (and encouraged) to chew on. Your friend may also wish to take her cat to a vet for a check-up - just to ensure the cat is generally healthy.
