Jobs for my Aussie

Question
Morning All,
I have a 2 yr. old female Aussie and "brilliant" isn't a necessary adjective...she's typical in all aspects...my problem is this; she is IN LOVE with cows,(or anything she sees behind fences, looks for them) her herding instincts are very strong...but I can't buy a cow, other than a toy one... we hike & walk & play alot...I want to give her 'jobs' that will challenge & fulfill her, what are a variety of them, or a source that lists them as I can only find reference to jobs, maybe a backpack (getting one)or a Kong,(have one) I'm looking for real 'jobs', any help here?
Also, what about a 'pet' for her? something small... She seems to adore animals, but maybe its only to have them for dinner?... less comfortable w/that, don't really want another animal right now...
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Answer
Sports that Aussies often like:
Disk Dog
Canine Freestyle
Agility
Tricks
I would not worry about getting her a pet - but you could take herding lessons:-))
If you visit youtube and put "kikopup" in the search box, you can watch clicker training in action.  Or, go to www.clickertrainusa.com.  There are some free videos there, too.  Aussies like mental exercise, so don't always think you have to have a physical job for them.  They like figuring things out - trick training is great for that, and who knows, if your dog is social, might make a nice therapy dog!
