aussies coat

I have a 6mo male aussie pup, he is red merle and beautiful. I was wondering how long it takes for aussies coat to grow in. His is growing but has not yet achieved the gorgeous coat of an adult aussie. I was just wondering. Thank you for your time.

The type of coat depends alot on the lines he comes from. Indie, who comes from herding lines, has a silkier, shorter coat, and Teddy, who is also 6 months but from show lines, will have a much thicker coat.  The coat will be what looks like the show dogs around a year old, but won't reach the full length til closer to two years.
