my chihuaha is traumatized

my 4 yr old chihuaha  had an accident. The dishwasher door fell on her. We took her to the vet and everything was fine but days later she bean acting odd. She's not close to me and my mom anymore. She cries whenever we come too close to her. I feel as if she doesn't love us anymore. What can we do for her to act liek herself again? please help!!!

First, call your vet and ask if she should be seen again, or given pain medication.  She may be sore.
She could have associated your presence with the fact that the door fell.  So, she may be leery of going close to you so that it doesn't happen again.  Try to think about it from her perspective, and give her time.  While you do, please keep her away from the dishwasher when you have the door open, so that she doesn't have any reason to continue to associate it with you, and feed her a treat once in a while when she does come toward you.
