Question
Hi,thank you for offering help! Here is my question. Do you know of a facility in Idaho that has a qualified setup to properly deal with wolf hybrids.I am the kennel manager at a regional animal shelter in northern Idaho and I believe we have a hybrid there. He does not really look like the husky/wolf mix but I did some reserch on his behavior and think we can't help him here. He is extremly timid to the point where he will not leave or get back into his kennel.I have fosterd him for a couple of weeks and noticed this hybrid behavior. He stardet to dig a den, will absolutly hide from strangers, distroying the couch at night and so on. Tristen is only about 11 month old. I have a lot of interrest in him but I think he should not go to the general public.
Thank you for your help and input.

Answer
There was a research facility somewhere in Idaho many, many years ago but I have no idea if it's still there.  Most wolf sanctuaries will not take hybrids but there are some that will.  Your dog's behavior does not necessarily classify him as a wolf hybrid; it might be that he is totally unsocialized to humans and their environments.  Denning is also a domestic dog behavior and can be seen in feral domestic dogs, although your dog is not feral as he would not allow any contact with humans.  There is a very well known and well respected facility in Indiana.  Here is their link:

I suggest you call them and ask for the wolf hybrid program director.  S/he will be able to tell you whether or not they are interested in the dog, what sort of criteria are required before acceptance, etc., and may be able to direct you to an organization closer to you.
