Odd Cat Behavior

Hi i adopted a kitten from a humane society,where she was bottle fed bcus she was found without her mommy.Well,she is nine months old now and does this weird thing where she will suck on her own nipples and pur really loudly.like if i pet her for a while shell always then sit next to me and start doing it.To tell truth its kinda grose.hehe.alright.thanks for ur help.

That is completely normal behavior for a kitten weaned too early. It is comforting to them. They are imagining they are with mom and nursing.

Some kittens suckle on their own body, sometimes on other cats, sometimes on blankets or objects, and sometimes on their owners (ears, fingers, etc.)

Let her do it. It shows that she is happy and content. She will probably grow out of it when she gets older.
