Question
My daughter has an 11 month old male of a Rottweiler and a Beagle. He is a fantastic pet, extremely playful and lovable. One oddity he has is to invert his head and body to the floor while standing on his hind legs. Of course it looks an awfully funny sight. As he does this he wants to nip/bite at anything in his vicinity. Still being playful, although I do wonder if this isn't a tad bit odd behavior for any dog. Could there be a problem due to the mix of species? He is large for a Beagle and small for a Rott, colored like a Rott, with a head that is a mix. His teeth look like a Rott and I am also curious if this could be an issue fo him. Thank you for your time, Ken.

Answer
This might be goofy play behavior or it might be a sign of low level temporal lobe seizure; if everyone is laughing, then it's being rewarded.  I suggest that every single time this dog performs this behavior, everyone leave the room for a few seconds.  If you do this every time, consistently, and this is some acquired goofy behavior your laughter is rewarding, it will self extinguish.
