Carry a rope, chain, or similar restraint for holding your dog in place so you can explore on your own.

Keep your dog comfortable by providing adequate bedding. Ideal to take the same bedding the your dog is familiar with, as it will assist to settle him at night and also keep him warm and dry. Provide water and dog food at all times. You don't want your dog dehydrated if it's a hot day and he might get hungry after a long day walking.

Carry additional food storage containers. Staying outdoors mean that your dog might need more treats.

Your dog might get wet from outdoor activities - carry more towels. You don't want your dog to start smelling during your stay in the camp.

Cleaning up any mess your dog leaves. Food scraps and dog poop. I usually carry an eco friendly poop bags which also helps the environment.
