Not all owners are well suited for dog training because it requires authority, patience, and kindness.

Before start the training you should be absolutely aware with your dog, you should know its tendencies, personality and intelligence level. Dogs have different degrees of stubbornness or intelligence which reflect in his training and you should consider your training style. Training also creates a bond of respect and trust between your dog and you.

The basic principle of the training process is that the dog should realize that the required action has a pleasurable result and then he will repeat it again and again.

Use food as a reward. That will be your first step ?to find out what will be the perfect desirable reward for your pet because not every dog does best with food based training. Some dogs react better to a stroke on the neck or belly. So find the best reward for those dogs.

The reward is necessary each time your dog accomplishes your order. Join the reward with praise using a tone in your voice which conveys pleasure and shows to the dog that you are satisfied. On the contrary punish misconducts and mistakes immediately. He should know you are not pleased with his behavior.

Your reward can just be a small piece of cheese or a dog biscuit. Punish as well should be little but immediate. Otherwise your dog won't realize why you are upset and won抰 relate your behavior with the act he did. Show your disappointment with a stern tone in a loud firm voice for words like - Bad dog ?Stop it. Tie up the dog for a while or shut him in a room because dogs accept taking their freedom as something very serious.

Sometimes the best way to stop a bad behavior is to ignore it. If your dog greets you and jumps on you when you come home, this type of training is best for him. First reprimand the dog in a stern voice and put his paws to the ground. But this method can not work as even with your negative reaction the dog can be happy with your acknowledgment. The most effective method is to ignore the dog. Turn your back to the dog, don抰 speak and avoid eye contact with the dog. Soon even for in a short period your dog will stop jumping.

How Can You Forbade your Dog Not To Get on Furniture

If you have think that your dog can抰 be allowed in the household, you should train him to stay off.

Do this when your dog is still a puppy because it is the easiest way but you will need consistency and firmness. First try to avoid all disciplinary problems you run into, during its training Be sure that when the puppy is not in it's kennel or in a safe room, someone is always nearby to correct this bad behavior. When the puppy gets up, gently remove it and reprimand in a stern, firm voice. Do not yell, only what you need is an intense reprimand.

With adult dog it will be more difficult to break its habit. First you should consider its bed. Some dogs find a hard floor uncomfortable just like humans for their joints and bones. Beds may afford your dog抯 daily comfort. If you have a larger dog , keep it on a leash to direct off the couch without any chance to hurt him or yourself. Do not remove, tug or drag the dog off the furniture with anger. Have firmness and patience.

Also you can use a loud piercing foldable pad, set on the furniture when you are leaving home. It runs on batteries but it also requires a financial investment. When dog pounces on the couch, a sensor makes a high pitched sound until the dog gets off. The dog is so afraid of the noise, that they soon stay off the furniture and you won抰 need to change the batteries any more.

How Can You Forbade Your Dog To Chew on Furniture
