It is estimated that around half wild tigers of the globe are in India, thus the news that tiger’s number there have increased gives us the hope for the future of tigers in our country.

The numbers of tiger in the India has gone up by 21%, according to the newest census of the tigers, which has surveyed complete of our country for the first time. According to tiger’s census 2007, there were 1,411 tigrs in the India, but according to newest tiger’s census 1,706 tigers are living in India. There are about 40 selected tiger reserves; those have keep above 27,961 miles of forest area (45,000 square kilometres).  Pench National Park is most renowned in India and global.

Even after that Environment and forest Minister of India Jai Ram Ramesh is describing the shrinking of the corridors for tigers as an alarming. He told, we want increasing in forest area and protecting for tigers and other wildlife in India. India had remained 40,000 tigers in the past century but in this century has been a serious decline in the numbers since then. Now, about 3500 tigers remain in the world but India keep above half of them numbers.

In the census included some difficult tigers reserve such as Pench Tiger reserve and mangrove forest of the Sunderbans in the west Bengal. Sunderbans gives 70 tigers and about 25 tigers give by Pench National Park in this census.
