Since these eagles are quite huge it builds large nests and are generally called eyries. Most of these nests are built in tall trees or on high cliffs. Most of the species lay two eggs at a time. However, the older or the larger of these two chicks kill the other while it rests in the same nest. Quite different from the other animals the females are considered more dominant than the males and the parent bird does not prevent the killing of the other chick by the dominant.
