Heartguard is a medication used for treating disease in the cats and dogs. Heartgard Plus Dogs is used for preventing canine heartworm disease. It works by eliminating the heartworm larvae tissue. Heartgard Plus has shown a wide margin of safety at the recommended dose level in dogs, including pregnant or breeding bitches, stud dogs and puppies aged 6 or more weeks.

This medication can be given directly to the dog or the cat and it can also be given along with the food to the dogs or the cat. This medication should be periodically given after every month to the animal. Take the drug as per the dosage and frequency suggested by the doctor. The effectiveness of this medication gets reduced if it is not taken each day. Dog Heartgard Plus can be used on different dogs in case of their sizes, weight or other sensitive breeds. Usually the dosage of this medication is very low for applying it on the dogs

What are the possible side effects of using this drug?

This medication may cause side effects such as digestive and neurological disorder. While applying this medication, within 24 hour it will show its adverse effect such as vomiting or diarrhea disorder if it is working negatively. This medication may also cause long lasting or sever side effect such as lethargy, depressions, anorexia, prolong or unusual dilation of the mydriasis unconditional shifting of the muscle movement, staggering and excessive convulsions and severe formation of salivation in the mouth.

What precautions should be followed while using Heartgard Plus?
