How To Catch a Mouse, From the Catchmaster

Mice are an infernal nuisance! From their droppings to their gnawing, there is nothing good about finding a mouse in your home, especially because it usually means there's more than one. And with reproduction rates of a litter of between five and ten about once about every three months, there's no time to waste. Here's how to catch a mouse.

1. Mouse Glue Traps: Buy a few of these traps and place them along walls and in corners. Mice love scurrying against walls for protection and when they smell some peanut butter or Fig Newton crumbs they come running. Hopefully this will catch at least a couple of mice and their friends will recognize that yours is a house of no return.

2. Prevent the Sources: If you still see evidence of mice in your home, it's time to clean. There should be no trash against the walls, the floors should be swept and there should be no coverings for the mice to run through. Don't leave accessible animal food on the ground, and remove and cover any human foods, placing them in cupboards or hard-to-reach areas. Remove all clutter and clean your kitchen thoroughly.

3. Outside: Chances are the mice are getting in from the outside through a hole. Walk around your home and examine any potentially accessible crannies. Remove compost piles and rake leaves from the perimeter of your home so there aren't nesting areas where the rodents can hide.

4. Catchmaster: If all of the above methods fail and despite catching mice in the mouse glue traps you still see evidence of live mice, it may be worthwhile to call a catchmaster. An exterminator can be one of the ultimate ways to get rid of your rodent population, but be warned, it is not cheap.

5. Predators: If you prefer a more natural way of de-rodentifying your home, think about a pet. A cat or dog is a great way to kill mice, and cats will eat the scraps if they are hungry.

Mice are no joke. They can transmit disease through their dried feces and they can also chew through important electrical wires. The result can be serious damage to your home that may make the cost of a couple of mouse glue traps or an exterminator look paltry in comparison. So if you have a rodent problem, take care of it as soon as possible. The results can be devastating if left unchecked.

Catchmaster has the best mouse traps to eradicate rodents. Living with rodents is unsanitary and unhealthy so with Catchmaster you can choose humane mouse traps or sticky mouse traps to rid them from your home.
