Quick on the Draw- An update

Since I last wrote about the Quick on the Draw System I have had an opportunity to test it further and here are my thoughts.

Quick on the Draw is one of the simplest profitable horse racing systems that I have ever come across. I suppose in some ways that is why I have a slight problem with it. It is almost too easy. I could explain the whole system to you in about 20 words but what would that be worth to you?

Basically the system produces winning bets with an average price of 12/1. During its test period of eleven months in 2008 it generated bets in 110 races and made a profit of 197 points using Betfair sp prices. In simple terms if you had laid ?0 level stakes you would have made ?970 profit.

So what is the problem? You have a delightfully simple, easy and very profitable system that can be used with any race card in any newspaper or online racing service. All bets are win bets. As its name implies the selection process is very quick indeed. After selections are found the bets can be placed at any time before the race starts. All the results are calculated to simple level stakes.

It is the simplicity that worries me. I feel that once the system starts to sell in numbers the word will get out. Friends will pass on the system to each other by word of mouth, after all that is what friends do. As more people latch onto the system the value will go as the prices of the selected horse drop and the system will become far less profitable.

However, when this happens all you will need to do is to put Quick on the Draw to onside for a few months until the 揓ohnny come latelys?drift off to follow the next dream and resume were you left off. As long as you aware that this may happen and are prepared that will be fine. Basically it appears that the system is based on sound principles and has good prospects long term.

In the last month I placed 9 win bets using the Quick on the Draw system which produced just 2 winners at Betfair sp prices of 14.3 and 8.8. Two winners out of 9 selections may not sound very good but allowing for the 7 losers it gave an overall profit of 13.6 points or ?36.60.

Steve Carter recommends a 50 point bank for the system so if your stake was going to be ?0 he recommends a ?00 bank. This seems reasonable to me although you might prefer to start with ?00 bank and bet in units of ? to allow your bank to build up. This is what I have done.

The system come as an 18 page downloadable e-book but to be honest the actual system covers about half a page and could be summarised in a few words. For this reason the price of ?9 could be considered excessive. However, when it comes to racing systems it should not be quantity but quality that counts. Given this I think that

the Quick on the Draw system despite the price is worth serious consideration.
