K9s Only Prepares for Labor Day and Final Summer Sunday Funday Dates

The summer is winding down but the K9s Only a Dog Training Los Angeles Newsletter is still chock full of events and deals that are available at the dog grooming, training and daycare center. Their latest newsletter begins with notices concerning a series of important dates. One of the dates they focused on was Labor Day, since it is one of the busiest holidays for K9s Only. They wanted to stress that dog owners should start reserving rooms soon since they had already begun booking.

The newsletter also focused on the last four dates for Summer Sunday Fundays. Sunday Fundays are events held at the West LA location which are filled with activities and events for dogs and owners alike. They offer fun in the puppy pool and a wide range of challenging games for the dogs to enjoy. These games are run by veteran trainer Dianna Haro, who was K9s Only former tricks class director. She designed the program so that it is not only different from week to week, but focuses on mental challenges which are based on the discipline and mutual respect that K9s Only owner, Bobby Dorafshar has based his practice on. In addition to that, Sunday Funday now has new agility equipment, free Better Than Biscuits Doggy Ice Cream, and a slew of fun games lead by training staff members. Those interested about Sunday Funday, should check out the Sunday Funday Album, which can be found on the West LA Facebook page. The album is filled with pictures from the events and will give dog owners a good idea of what takes place during Sunday Fundays.

Sunday Funday is one of the many things that K9s Only is involved in. They're also a proud supporter of LA Love and Leashes and they accept locations for the organization at both of their locations. Love and Leashes is the world's first non-profit run "pet store." 100% of its animals are taken from LA city shelters and so far the operation has been a resounding success. They have adopted out 671 animals since only last year. Love and Leashes is located on the first floor of Westside Pavilion and their website can be visited at laloveandleashes.com.

Last month, K9s Only welcomed a new member to their teeth cleaning team, in Dr. Douglas Kramer, and now they're receiving a new face at the Wellness Center. Dani, the new Assistant Swimmer, has been around animals her entire life. She grew up surrounded by dogs since her family began breeding Golden Retrievers when she was in high school. Thanks to her youth, Dani's experience swimming with dogs of all ages, sizes and experience is exceptional. She is also trained in canine CPR and is currently being educated by Wellness Director Yvonne Garst, in all aspects of canine wellness.
