1. Provide your dog a warm shelter. If you have made a shelter for your dog outside your home (like in backyard) then try to keep it warm during winters. However, if your dog stays with you inside your own home then its best, because he already has a warm and comfortable living environment.
2. Try to keep your dogs inside as much as possible during sub zero temperature condition. Excess cold or snowy condition can be harmful for your dog. When you are going on a walk with your dog, make sure he has warm clothes on their body.
3. Provide protein rich food to your doggies during winters. It will enhance their metabolism and keep their fur and skin healthy to better fight with cold.
4. Avoid keep your dog inside car for long time. During winters your car may freeze like anything and your will be in danger.

Along with following above said guidelines, dog owners should have regular health checkup from a vet experts. It will keep you aware with the internal changes caused by winter in your dog's body and you can take precautions accordingly.
