Humans And Their Likeness To All Other Species In The Animal Kingdom

28 17:01:11

The other day I had a thought and since it was not of the mainstream but worthy of consideration, I posted it on an online think tank. The thought stemmed from the concept that animals and humans think and reason in similar ways and use their brains in similar fashions. Thus humans and animals are so similar in thought that it appears that it is hard to classify animals and humans as different. Therefore humans are animals.

You see, humans and animals (mammals for the sake of argument) have all similar body parts; hearts, lungs, eyes, ears, mouth, reproductive systems, blood, etc. and even similar limbs. In fact if you really wish to get technical, so do birds, fish, reptiles, etc. and of course there are points of contention with that comment, although not enough to consider humans some sort of cut above the rest, as we are all so similar really.

I believe that original post was made after I had listened to a David Hare psychology online conference excerpt during a time when I had just finished reading Dale Sheldrake’s book on animal’s ability to communicate via their minds and his attempt to prove that some animals including humans could communicate or send out distress calls or arrival warnings to their loved ones or those they had previously associated with as close companions.

Additionally in studying Quantum Physics, specifically entangled pairs, it all seemed to provide puzzle pieces on that which we do not know scientifically, but can feel and believe from observation, yet cannot adequately describe. Although science chocks off such things to psuedo-science trivia, I find such things uniquely fascinating and cannot so easily dismiss that which I cannot prove does not exist. The opposite of believing something we can prove or have chosen to prove and then teach and believe and commit to memory as an absolute, without consideration of the other.

If animals can communicate with one another and humans can too using complex language, body language and subtle signs, brain waves and perhaps a little intuition based on a collect mind or knowledge which is passed between us in a way we are not sure how it actually happens, then that would mean that in many regards animals maybe more adapted than humans in some regards. Or that humans have forgotten or lost certain skills to a huge degree. Almost to the point of forgetting over time and generations more than we have ever known. So, abstractly that is something to consider. Do think on this in 2006.
