When a home owner discovers a raccoon nest in his home, most likely in attics or chimneys, he has to see to it that the animal is not comfortable in these areas. Build a strong fence around the house especially the garden or yard. This will give the raccoons a hard time to reach your waste bins and may discourage them totally to go inside the property.
