We know that some of pet owners want to set boundaries to contain their pets for several reasons, whether it may with the use of visible or invisible fence, to contain pets. There are several types of containment fence that pet owners can choose from.

Invisible and Visible Fence

Visible dog fences are more straightforward way and permanent such as picket fence and snow fence. In erecting these fences, you have to consider the size of your dog. Making sure there are no spaces or gaps between where which you pet can escape through. However, if you want to make sure that your pet is contained safely in your yard, another type of visible fence is the brick wall. This is more costly compared to snow fence and picket fence though. Another consideration in putting up a fence is the local zoning regulation and what types of fences are allowed in your community.

If you do not want the visible type of pet fence, you can still use the hidden or invisible type. There are two types of invisible dog fence, the underground and the wireless. Underground dog fence consist of transmitter, a receiver that is attached to the collar of the dog and wire that is buried in the ground. Wireless consists only of transmitter and receiver. Transmitter transmits a signal that produces a mild static shock to the dog when it nears the specified boundaries. When it comes to cost and maintenance, invisible fences are less expensive than the traditional fencing or visible fence. Invisible fences are more flexible than visible fence. With the use of invisible fence, you can put a specific perimeter to limit the places that your dog can access, such as around flower bed, or around the pool. Also, they are more preferred by pet owners when it comes to convenience. You dont have to put a traditional fence which is additional labor on your part and no need to consider any zoning regulations.

It is extremely important to put a fence to contain pets for their safety and for your peace of mind. There are several options and ways to do that. You just have to choose what will work best for you and for your pet.
