Have you been trying to improve your skin recently, but no matter what product you buy, your skin is still imperfect? Don't let it get you down; there are things you can do to help combat all your skin woes! Have you ever thought that it might be the foods you're eating that are causing imperfections in your skin? Not a lot of people do, but it's a little known fact that eating certain foods can improve your skin far better than any skin cleanser or product that's on the market today.

One great food stuff to start eating more of is low fat yogurt or even, in fact, low fat dairy products! Now it's not one of the first things our minds would go to, but it's still an important food to eat more of, because dairy products are full of Vitamin A, which does absolute wonders for our skin! And the best part is, you won't even think of it as a duty for your skin, because it tastes so good! Another popular food rich in Vitamin A, is Mangoes, which also helps your skin repair itself to avoid flakiness.

Another more obvious choice is BERRIES! And I'm talking about strawberries, blueberries, plums, cranberries and blackberries (and that's the berry we're talking about ladies). Berries are rich in antioxidants, which cause our skin to stay looking healthy and youthful! And healthy youthful skin is something we all want!

Salmon and other types of fish contain Omega 3, that word that you've heard all over the TV and internet recently! Well here's why: Omega 3 has been scientifically proven to reduce our chances of contracting deadly diseases. Not only this but it's great for beauty skin care and keeping our skin moisturized. The fish with the best Omega 3 content are Tuna, Salmon, Crab, Shrimp, Anchovies and Sardines. You're bound to like one of those, so try and fit more of it into your diet because they can really be considered super-foods!

This next food is actually a liquid, which contains polyphenols that have anti-inflammatory characteristics. And despite what they say, a good tea will not dehydrate your body! That's right, it's Green Tea. Green Tea, along with berries, is also well known for its antioxidant qualities, but as well as this, it's also a great anti-inflammatory, that will fight off the free radicals in our bodies that age our skin early.

Avocados are often thought of as nothing more than that guacamole dip we love with our nachos, but it's actually very rich in B-complex vitamins and essentialoils and works like an anti-inflammatory agent. It also soothes skin that is red, irritated or blotchy, so it can be perfect for acne or skin flare ups! And there are loads of ways to make it more interesting; for example, mixing it in with some yogurt and even throw in some berries to make it taste even nicer, you might as well top up your Vitamin A and antioxidant levels as well as your B complex Vitamins at the same time!

Although not widely considered as a food, Aloe Vera has been considered a miracle in the plant world. Praised more in its liquid form, Aloe Vera is very beneficial for patchy irritated skin when drank. It also helps prevent acne and skin pigmentation. But BEWARE, only buy this stuff in small quantities from chemists, as extracting it yourself from the pulp will not benefit you and, if anything, will cause some nasty stomach upsets!

And of course, let's not forget good old Vitamin C! Oranges in particular, along with grapefruits, are rich in Vitamin C. Vitamin C produces collagen in the skin which helps to prevent wrinkles, but remember it's not just pure juice that will help, remember to eat the whole fruit to. It's also a fantastic excuse to improve your fruit intake to!

So if you're tired of piling on the product but not seeing any results, try adding some of these to your grocery list, and your healthy, young and glowing skin will soon be making an appearance, leaving you to finally let your natural beauty shine through.
