What Are The Advantages Of Plr?

The advantages of PLR (Public Label Rights) material are not as clear cut as one might think. Often the more clear advantages are dispelled immediately without a second look being given to some of the added benefits.

In some ways PLR is like a stack of raw lumber, without the skills needed to convert the lumber into something meaningful the pile stays just what it is; a useless pile taking up room. But with the skills needed? AH! This is another proposition entirely.

There are several ways in which PLR can be used to improved productivity and in some cases even the quality of your online content. Once these basic applications are put into action, the advantages of PLR become clear.

PLR Rewrites
The most common usage of PLR is for internet content. As they say "Content is King" and they aren't far off- whoever "they" are. Without content you might as well be posting prices and nothing else. Unless there is a market segment in the world that just randomly spends money and enjoys downloading software and receiving mystery packages in the mail, your chances of being a success on the internet are pretty much nill.

Still most PLR is unsuitable for publishing raw; you are going to do some rewriting. While this can be a tedious task at times, there are advantages of PLR rewriting that cannot be overlooked. For example the basic form is already there and sometimes that is half the battle. Changing a few sentences to fit your own personal style or tailor make an article so it reads more like one of your own is often quicker than writing one from scratch. In addition to these advantages, PLR offers non-English speakers a bit more meat to their content as they will only have to "fill in the blanks" with specifics.

PLR for Research
Often when exploring a new niche, the marketer reads about the product they are promoting, but rarely is an expert themselves. PLR packs can often come with hundred of articles dealing in general with specific topics. Using several of these (and sometimes a spin tool) one can put them all together into a more comprehensive article about a specific product.

Marketing Tactics
Using PLR One of the more popular and effect marketing tactic is indirect sales. In indirect selling one builds a bit of legitimacy with their customer by providing just enough valuable information to pique their potential customer's curiosity about your product. For example if someone has a site selling dog walking services, it is a good idea to write several articles on general dog health. Sounding like a veterinarian is good, who doesn't want someone with animal health skills to walk their dog? The implication is that the customer gets much more than some with a leash and a few hours a day to do nothing but pick up after Fido. Now let's just say that you know nothing about animal health. One of the distinct advantages of PLR content is that there is a lot of it; one can pick and choose what they like and tailor several articles to suit their own needs.

Is PLR the be-all/end-all? Absolutely not. But it is a way to generate a lot of content in a short period of time without having to spend a lot of time writing and researching. This is probably one of the biggest advantages of PLR.
