When Golden Retrievers are puppies is by far the best time to start training them. When they are a puppy they are still learning and very open to training. Sadly, as they move into adulthood it becomes increasingly harder to train them because they develop habits and set in their ways. When your Golden begins to enter adult hood you must be training them for a duration of time.However, the most effective way to train them whilst they are young is to employ short power sessions. Somewhere in the region of 5 - 10 minutes at a time is adequate.
