If you own a dog or cat, did you know that these animals can have the same sicknesses as us? Their diseases aren't called the same as some of ours, but in most cases, the germs in these animals will make this animal really warm. If it is not dealt with right away, their temperature will feel to us as if the animal is on fire.
This animal can't talk and tell you what is wrong, but in some cases you can pretty much tell just by watching the animal. If they are messing with their ears, they might have mites or just an ear infection, that if not taking care of will make this animal lose its hearing just like us. They could get an infection on the foot that is just like our athlete's feet, but the only difference being that you will have to give the animal's feet a 10-minute soak in the tub instead of being able to put cream on our feet because we can get between our toes.
It's hard to believe that dogs and cats can get cancer and AIDS, but these aren't like the AIDS that humans get. It can, however, kill them just the same. They can have heart problems, go blind, and go deaf because they are like us in so many ways. If you have had this animal since its birth, you can't help but become so attached to it that if something should happen to this animal, you will be very upset if the animal might die.
We even have a problem of sometimes over feeding them where they will have to be put on a diet. Their small bodies can't sometimes support their weight because maybe their legs are too small. This will happen a lot of times when these animals are cross bred with other small animals or a bigger animal gets hooked up with a smaller one. This happens a lot with dogs. You will have some breeders of dogs that will do this all the time to keep getting small puppies because these little puppies sell faster. But a lot of the time these little puppies will have some very big medical problems because of this cross breeding.
Their little bodies will be more fragile than maybe its parents in that its body might just be too little for all of its insides to work right. Most of these little animals won't see the light of day or life long enough to open their eyes.
